This is why many people feel addicted to gambling. However, they tend to ignore or forget that dopamine is also produced when they lose and as a result, people may continue to gamble to try and recoup their losses. In fact, chasing losses is known as the \u201cgambler\u2019s fallacy\u201d and can be very dangerous to one\u2019s financial health. It is therefore important to stop gambling as soon as you begin to have a loss.
