It has been shown that people who are addicted to gambling have less activation of the prefrontal cortex, which is involved in decision making and self-control. This might explain why they are so impulsive and lack the ability to regulate their gambling behaviour. There are a variety of other factors that contribute to a person\u2019s gambling habits. Genetics and personality can also play a role in how susceptible a person is to developing an addiction to gambling.<\/p>\n
While it\u2019s important to recognise the potential dangers of gambling, it\u2019s equally essential to understand its positive aspects and societal contributions.
